Project Design |

Use this part of the form to detail your project design requirements.
You only need to complete the sections
that are relevant to your enquiry.
|
| |
no. of static pages
static pages
refer to
standard html web pages that will contain non-changing (unless
redesigned) text and/or images that remain the same whist
visitors browse your site.
|
| |
no. of dynamic pages
dynamic
pages refer
to active server pages (asp) that can change their content
depending on how they are referenced. For example an asp page
could be used to process a form (like this one) and display
different messages etc depending on what information had been
entered into the form. ASP pages are very versatile and have a
number of applications.

|
|
no. of data driven pages
data
driven pages
refer
to dynamic pages (see above) that point to a data source on
the server, such as a database. These are very versatile and
can be used for applications such as shopping carts, product
guides, searchable directories etc etc.
|
| |
data source
we
can provide two types of data source (a database - a place to
store your information) for your data
driven pages to reference...
- MS Access: this is cheaper to setup but is only
useful for a small number of users and will quickly slow
down/stop if accessed by large numbers of users.
- MS SQL Server: can deal with a high volume of users. If the
database is small it will not be much more expensive
than MS Access -
SQL Servers increase in cost with size.
- Remote data source: this could be an existing data
source located elsewhere on the internet.

approx no. of supplied images
digital
images supplied by yourself via email (if possible please
resample them to 96 dpi - we can assist you with this).
|
|
|
approx no. of J Tree
generated images
digital
images created by us. This may include a composite background
image, header bar or company logo.
|
| |
style sheets (CSS)
creating
style sheets enables us to create a uniform look throughout
your site - if your site contains different text types and is more than
a couple of pages there's a good
chance that we will implement style sheets anyway. |
| |
no. of email accounts
this
is the number of unique emails that you require for your
web domain (e.g. info@yourdomain.com).
This does not include
existing email addresses (unless they need to be transferred
to our server), nor does it include emails that you may have
with other providers such as Hotmail etc. (Though any email address
you may have can be accessed via your website).
For example, if you only require a single page hosted at The
Journey Tree (e.g. thejourneytree.org/mywebname) and you will
be using an email such as myaddress@hotmail.com, then you
will not need to complete this box.

E-commerce
tick
this option if you will be requiring an e-commerce solution
i.e. an online catalogue and payment facility. |

Flash animations...
We can create Flash multimedia files which can be inserted into your web pages and used for a whole range of purposes; animated banners, buttons, navigation controls etc.
Use this field to specify requirements, or questions,
regarding flash media.
Using Flash we can even create stand-alone media presentations which can be downloaded or emailed to your client base. Applications could include, a PC-based interactive console for accessing your data from a remote server. Or, you may be a band and wish to send an interactive demo of your latest music out to fans and talent scouts.
You
can see an example on the 'what we
offer' page - click on the top banner. If
you do not have the latest flash player installed on your pc
you can go to the download page by clicking on the following
link...
